What a beautiful picture. A little girl running to her daddy holding nothing back and him eagerly calling her closer. I can just see the father leaning forward, sweeping his precious girl off her feet and together them spinning around in circles squealing with delight.
What a powerful illustration of how we can approach our Daddy God. Is this how you approach your rooftop encounters with Him? Do you confidently run to Him holding nothing back? Or do you have a checklist of things you feel you need to do before you consider yourself able to tentatively approach Him?
Hebrews 10:19-22 NIV
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence (boldness KJV) to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
I couldn’t resist looking up the meaning of boldness to paint a better picture of what this verse means.
The dictionary defines boldness as: all outspokenness i.e. frankness or bluntness; assurance; confidence; freely; openly; plainly.
This is exactly how a child approaches their daddy. Let me encourage you: you can have this boldness to enter into an encounter with your Father at anytime; Jesus made it possible.
Boldly run into His embrace today.
Your Father sees you just like the little girl in her beautiful white dress, you do not need to have a guilty conscience.
Isaiah 1:18 NLT
“Come now, let’s settle this,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
I will make them as white as snow.
Though they are red like crimson,
I will make them as white as wool.”
Because of Jesus, your Daddy sees you like the innocent child in her pure white dress. Nothing, absolutely nothing you have done or will do can keep your Father from loving you. The blood of Jesus completely removes all obstacles between you and intimacy with Him. You can have a sincere and genuine heart.
Like this little girl run towards your Daddy.
Don’t stop near Him, confidently run right up to Him and enter into the most intimate moment you’ve ever known.
He’s waiting for you to have intimate Rooftop Encounters. Will you accept the invitation? Will you choose to wake each day and run into His arms? He wants to lavish you with His love. You are safe in His arms.
Boldly enter into greater intimacy with your loving Daddy today, it brings Him such joy.
