When the spotlight goes out: My glory is about to fall

You’ve been in a church or maybe even at a concert. Everything is relatively dark, and suddenly, a beam of light bursts into the room, shifting our focus to everything it illuminates in its path.

The moment has begun and everyone in the room is captivated and a united sound echoes around the room.

Recently, as I was in church captivated in worship, I suddenly saw in my mind’s eye all the lights go out. Allow me to share what I wrote in that precious moment. May it be as much of an encouragement to you as it is to me…

People install lights, they choose who is on the stage. But man’s lights get switched off. And that’s when my glory comes. Those who worship and adore me in the secret place attract the glory of heaven and My light will shine on them.

A time is coming when man’s spotlights will be shut off and suddenly out of nowhere, those you never expect will have spotlights on them straight from heaven. It will be My glory being poured out upon them attracted to their worship and adoration in the secret place.

So be a worshipper of me. Adore me in the secret place. Do not worry about man’s approval or acceptance.

Be a worshipper of me because soon I am going to cause spotlights of glory to fall on people who thought they were a nobody and hidden.

They won’t even know there is a spotlight on them lighting them up as they will still be lost and captivated by me.

These spotlights will cause my glory to be seen across the nations and nations will come to the bright lights.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV

So, my friends, be encouraged:

Keep seeking Him in the secret place. Spend time in His Word and allow it to fill you and guide you in all you think and do. Allow the Holy Spirit to transform and empower you as you pour out your heart to Him each day.

Keep worshipping Him. Intentionally grow your vocabulary as you adore Him in all His glory and wonder. Use scripture as you pray, thank Him for who He is and all He has done. Allow prayer to become more intimate each day.

Keep Him central in all you do. Whether you are leading worship under man’s spotlight, nursing children at home, or attending to daily tasks at work, do it with your whole heart as worship to Him. I thank God for church worship leaders who lead worship by imploring me to join them as they personally run into intimate encounters with Him.

In every moment, seen and unseen, be captivated by Him, He’s attracted to your worship.
